On the Tenth Day of Letter Writing…

Anyone else find themselves going into a little bit of hibernation mode as soon as the holidays hit?

It’s the end of the year. Everyone’s tired. And amidst all of the festivities and invites, it can be all-too tempting to decide that it’s officially time to disappear until the new year.

Don’t get us wrong - we’re big fans of cozying up with a Christmas movie and taking a break from the craziness of life. But we also want to give you a gentle nudge to remember: the people around you need you, too.

In a season that can feel extra-lonely, how can you show up for the people in your life and remind them that they aren’t in it alone? How can you take the hope that you’ve been scripting into love letters for the past ten days and take it with you into your world?

Maybe it’s picking up the phone and calling that friend who’s been extra quiet lately.

Maybe it’s inviting someone over to decorate cookies, or to go look at Christmas lights.

Maybe it’s dropping a meal off for a friend who’s been going through a lot.

Maybe it’s as simple as seeing someone who’s struggling and inviting them to run errands with you.

We need each other. That’s the pure, simple truth of it. We aren’t meant to do life alone - and the holidays remind us of that more than ever.

Keep making the world around you lighter, MLL fam. It matters. 🖤

LESLEY

Lesley supported her mum and dad for many years. Both parents were frail, and Lesley was by their side until their passing (her dad in September and her mum in October). Their passing has left Lesley grieving. As the Christmas season is here, Lesley could use an abundance of love being sent her way. So, let’s do just that. Pick out your paper and write some love to Lesley this Christmas.
