On the Weekend of Letter Writing…
Welcome to the weekend of letter writing! 💌
It’s time to shake things up a bit. The 12 Days of Love Letter Writing are all about community, and this weekend, we want to challenge you to take the time to get even more intentional.
In past years, we’ve used this space to either write letters for a community cause or take on the challenge of writing love letters to people in our lives. That offer still stands (and we’ve included ideas below), but we want to take it a step further this year.
This year, we challenge you to take some time out of a busy weekend and write the letter you need to write. As you read these words, maybe someone in your life came to mind. Perhaps you need to write a letter to yourself. Maybe there’s something unspoken that you need to get out onto the page and either mail it off or tuck it away for your form of closure.
Whatever comes to mind– write that letter to that person. We hope it makes you feel lighter and brighter as we move deeper into this season. Here’s to words not left unsaid.
If you want to stick to the lighter side, we’ve got you covered with a few good ideas:
Write a letter to a postal worker
Thank a teacher with a note
Send a card to the single mom who needs a fight song
Leave a few notes of encouragement around your community
Write a sweet note to your spouse or child
Slip a letter of encouragement in the mailbox for your best friend
Script words to essential workers at your local hospital
Drop a note to the friend who seems down this December
Write that letter you've needed to write for a long time (you know the one)
There’s no limit to the goodness and hope you can spread. Join us in loving close to home this year.
