Alley's Bundle Update

Alley was in need of some encouragement. Her mother shared with us part of Alley’s story:

“Alley is an incredibly passionate feeler and thinker. She has a compassionate heart that sees a need and meets it. She has struggled with her health her entire life, we almost lost her twice once as a baby and again when she had meningitis and encephalitis when she was 5. She is a walking miracle. She has continued to struggle with her health and was finally diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at age 18 which answered a lot of questions about her lifelong health struggles, but was an overwhelming diagnosis. Alley has always been a fighter, when she believes in something there is no stopping her. She has had so many life hurdles to get over but she always gets back up and stays in the race going strong.

Alley is now 28. She and her husband Jake have been trying to have a baby for the past 5 years of their marriage, but due to her cystic fibrosis and her endometriosis, they have not been able to. They have done the fertility road and have fostered. They took a break from all of this after their foster child was awarded back to his parents. This all, as you can imagine has taken an emotional and mental toll on Alley. So now they feel ready and are starting down the fertility road again with a new specialist who deals with cystic fibrosis and fertility. Alley is anxious and knows the road will be long and hard physically and emotionally. All of her peer group have had babies and or announced they are pregnant which is so hard on her.

I have never seen a young couple like her and her husband give so selflessly of their time, finances, and love to others. She and her husband have incredible hearts and love their community and serve people with true joy. She is usually encouraging and doing things for others but she has recently been so discouraged about not being able to have a baby.”

Alley was amazed by this community’s generosity.

“Alley called me after she got home the evening I gave her the bundle. She told me that she was so overwhelmed when I gave her the letters with surprise and emotion, she said she couldn’t have dreamed of receiving something like this in a million years.”

“So, she told me she couldn't really put into words what she wanted to say at that moment but called me after arriving home and told me that she felt like Jesus had reached down and spoke over her personally 145 times that He loved her through the 145 letters that were in the initial bundle.

Well, you can imagine what that did to my heart, just wrecked me. If only those 145 people, Christian or not, knew the deep impact they had on my girl's heart. She could barely get those words out through sobs, telling me how loved she felt. So thank you, More Love Letters is making a mark on people's lives every day!”
