Samantha’s Bundle Update

Samantha is the brightest rock star who needed a reminder that there’s still some good and kindness in the world.

Samantha is an ICU nurse who lived through the chaos and trauma of working in the ICU during COVID. Recently, she has been unable to work as she sorts through all of the mental health struggles that were caused by the pandemic.

Her friend says that she is “such a bright light in my world, and there is so much more to her than what she experienced in her time at the hospital.” She wanted to encourage Sam and remind her of who she is—beyond what she went through.

Samantha is the lead singer of a local band and comes alive when she performs. She is also a fabulously talented soccer player – a right-back defender. She can always be counted on to deny those incoming forwards their shooting opportunity! She brings such joy to those around her, and she needed a little joy back.

Well, if there’s one thing this community can do, it’s send postmarked joy.

Samantha’s friend updated us, saying, “I delivered Sam’s bundle to her this weekend after receiving 126 pieces of mail, and many of those had multiple letters inside. She was in complete shock, and overwhelmed with the idea that so many strangers all over the world would take time out of their day to send her some encouraging thoughts.”

Later, Sam’s friend said that she got the loveliest message from Sam’s mom saying how truly thankful she was for all this love.

“Thank you for helping us to facilitate this for my lovely friend Sam, you’ve got a continual supporter for your letters in the future!”
